Phill Pappas ‘03, son of French teacher Mijo Pappas, recently published a book called One Page at a Time: Getting Through College with ADHD. Gardiner ’12 Finishes Perfect Career with State Singles Title

On Saturday senior Kasey Gardiner put the exclamation point on her perfect high school tennis career. Gardiner, who has never lost a match and who is headed to Wake Forest next fall, capped off her undefeated record by winning the No. 1 singles title at the Division 4 state championships in Holland. Our girls’ field hockey team put up a great fight in their second post-season contest, but were extremely short-handed with only one sub. They lost 1-0 to an upper-division Marian team. The equestrian team finished in third place at their district. “There has been a lot to celebrate with all our fall sports teams,” says athletic director Meg Seng. Walk for Water Friday to raise money for well in South Sudan

…also are helping raise money for a new well at St. Theresa Primary School in South Sudan. If they raise enough money to dig a well, their work could be the difference-maker that keeps some of St. Theresa’s students in school. Last year’s Walk for Water raised more than $4,400 and resulted in a new well for a primary school in Uganda. This year’s goal is $3,800. Kickoff Breakfast generosity sparks strongest-ever start for Annual Fund

Tuesday morning’s Annual Fund Kickoff Breakfast drew more than 100 community members to the Campbell Center, where their generosity got this year’s Annual Fund for Greenhills off to its strongest start ever. The gathering began at 7:30 a.m. with coffee and pastries and featured performances by Greenhills singers and musicians, as well as brief talks from Student Council President Anjali Purohit ’16 and middle schooler Ian Dopp ’20. Christopher Lee ’08, one of the Annual Fund’s alumni co-chairs this year, also spoke to guests, sharing how his Greenhills education prepared him for an academic career that began at the University…

Braeleigh Apley ’12 Inspires Princess and Pirate Day at Mott Hospital

…so much to our family to have something like this at the hospital,” said one parent. In addition, over 100 bags with costumes, bubbles, princess or pirate candy, and crafts were delivered the children in their hospital rooms. “It was an incredibly exciting, emotional and rewarding day for all,” said Apley.
