Lisa Hogan Named 2021 Regional Athletic Director of the Year
On March 19, Greenhills’ Assistant Athletic Director Lisa Hogan was named the 2021 Regional Athletic Director of the Year for Region 13 by the Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (MIAAA) and Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA). Each year, the MIAAA selects 14 regional directors to honor with this award in recognition of their dedicated service, leadership, and special contributions to their local and regional interscholastic athletic administration levels.
Hogan joined Greenhills in 2005 as a Wellness teacher before moving into her current role of Assistant Athletic Director in 2011. She has coached Middle School Tennis, Softball, and Basketball along with High School JV Volleyball and Varsity Softball and has been an Assistant Varsity Girls Basketball coach. Hogan serves as the Greenhills Exemplary Program Committee chair, the Greenhills Coordinator for the Women and Sport Leadership Conference, and has created several electronic tools for both Greenhills and the MIAC Conference.
Hogan’s dedication to the School’s athletic program shines through in every interaction she has with a student, parent, coach, or community member.
“Lisa handles the many difficult situations we face every day as athletic administrators with aplomb. She remains calm in stressful situations and has become a go-to person in our building for information. One of Lisa’s greatest strengths is her ability to improve upon any process or procedure. She is always finding a better way and building a better mousetrap to help improve our program. Lisa is always available to serve our students and coaches. She will jump in whenever and wherever needed, to coach a team on a moment’s notice, to supervise or chaperone at events or contests, to miraculously find buses or officials when none can be found, to lend a uniform to a forgetful athlete, or offer words of encouragement to a coach after a difficult day,” Greenhills Athletic Director Meg Seng shared.
