Greenhills students honored at Detroit science and engineering fair
Two Greenhills Upper School students advanced to the State Science Fair and four others earned other honors at this week’s Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit, held at Cobo Hall in downtown Detroit.
Ninth-grader Aarushi Ganguly took 3rd place in mathematics for her project, and senior Ana Taylor took 3rd in microbiology. Both projects qualified for the State Science Fair, scheduled for April 1st at Kettering University in Flint.
Additionally, seniors Kelly Torolsky and Kirin Cromer won Blue Ribbon Outstanding Project Awards in the Biomedical and Health Sciences category. Tenth-grader Alex Choi earned a certificate from mathematics honors society Mu Alpha Theta, while senior Cameron Perrin was honored by the U.S. Navy with a letter of congratulations, a certificate of achievement, a medallion, and $50 gift card for his work.
