Thank you for your interest in the Middle School Prep Program at Greenhills! We created this program to provide opportunities for fourth and fifth grade underrepresented students of color to build skills in academics, arts, athletics, and wellness. By the end of the program, students will feel more confident and better prepared for the transition to middle school.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Throughout the 2024-2025 school year, students will partake in one or two workshops and clinics each month, exploring a variety of topics and focus areas. There is no cost to participate, but an application is required. Please complete the form below to indicate your interest.     • Public Speaking and Debating
    • Test Taking and Study Strategies
    • Math Skill Building
    • Reading and Research
    • Instruments
    • Painting and Ceramics
    • 3D Printing and Design
    • Robotics
    • Writing Basics
    • Basketball, Pickleball, and Soccer

Plus, opportunities for community fun and connection, including: bring-a-buddy day, Greenhills’ annual GryFun Run & Rally, and the prep program family social.

Facilitated by Greenhills Faculty and Staff

Students will be guided by dedicated faculty and staff including: Greenhills fine and performing arts department chair, integrated public speaking and forensics coach, applied engineering teacher, varsity girls basketball coach, orchestra director, middle school athletics coordinator, and more.

Held at Greenhills School 

Founded in 1968, Greenhills is a sixth through twelfth grade independent school situated on 30 acres in east Ann Arbor. Prep program activities will utilize the school's gyms, turf field, robotics lab, applied engineering room, ceramics and fine-arts studios, orchestra room, library, and forums.
