This year Greenhills welcomes five new and three returning teachers (bios and video link below).

Betsy Clyde. Betsy joins our faculty this fall as a 7th grade math teacher. A 2006 graduate of Huron High School, Betsy attended Miami University in Ohio where she earned her B.S. in integrated math education and B.A. in mathematics. Following graduation she moved to Charleston, S.C. where she taught at Cane Bay High School for two years. Betsy will also be coaching swimming.
John Goodell. John is excited to join the Greenhills family as our new strings and orchestra director. Since 2007, he has served as Director of Music at St. Clare’s Episcopal Church in Ann Arbor, and is the Artistic Director of The Music Project, a non-profit he founded in 2009. John has degrees from Oberlin College, Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Michigan.
Thomas Husson. A French native, Thomas served 12 years in the French Army, then earned his graduate degree in French at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). He has spent the past few years working as a French teacher and lecturer at both BGSU and Perrysburg High School outside Toledo. Thomas teaches middle and upper school French, and coaches in our athletics program.
Amanda (“Mandy”) Rosplock. After graduating from Ohio University and earning her M.Ed. from the University of Cincinnati, Mandy taught for six years in Kentucky and Ohio, most recently at Laurel School in Cleveland. Mandy teaches middle school math and coaches our Math Counts team.
Tom Ward. Tom graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in computer science and an M.A. in educational studies. Last year he taught high school math at West Nottingham Academy, a small boarding school in Maryland. Tom is teaching math in the upper school and coaching basketball.
Returning Faculty
Catherine Baldante, Lizzie Collins and Caroline Huntoon ’02 are all returning to Greenhills after time parenting, interning, and substitute teaching, respectively. A valued member of our English department from 2005-2009, Catherine moved to New York with her family in 2009 but returned to the Ann Arbor area last year and is now teaching upper school English. Lizzie completed a year-long internship under Mijo Pappas last year and is now teaching middle and upper school French, and coaching soccer. After graduating from Barnard College, Caroline worked both at Greenhills with our forensics program and earned her secondary teaching certificate in English from EMU. She returns to Greenhills to teach middle and upper school drama, middle school English and work with our forensics students.
