Strong showing for science squad
Greenhills’ Science Olympians turned in a very good performance at the recent Clio Invitational competition, according to Coach Jim Lupton — despite the limited amount of time they had to prepare.
Frank Fazekas ’15 and Karen Guan ’15 took first place in the Technical Problem Solving event, while Luke Krasner ’15 and Frank Fazekas ’15 took third in the Circuit Lab event.
Lupton said the team did will against the other 31 teams in attendance.
“I’m proud of all of them for their hard work,” he said.
The Science Olympiad, described as a sort of academic track meet, emphasizes teamwork and active, hands-on participation. Several more meets are scheduled during the remainder of the year.
