Seniors, and (literally), more seniors: Enjoying Grandparents Day at Greenhills
From the gyms to the band rooms, the grandparents of Greenhills students descended on the school Tuesday, learning firsthand what a Greenhills education is all about.
Grandparents and special friends were treated to coffee and scones before venturing into classrooms around the school with their grandkids. A modified schedule allowed them to also experience an assembly, where they enjoyed performances by the choir and a video about the school.
Then it was back to class, followed by box lunches and more after-lunch classroom time.
“We are and have been very impressed with the school,” said Juanita Pariano, the grandmother of 6th-grader Nicholas Pariano. Juanita and her husband, Len–parents of Greenhills English teacher Anthony Pariano–drove up from Ohio to spend some time at Greenhills. Both are retired educators. “Nicholas is really enjoying it.”
