Senior Jackie Oestreich makes Associated Press All-State team

It’s another score for senior basketball player Jackie Oestreich, who was just named to the Associated Press (Class C) All-State team.

Oestreich earlier earned Conference MVP and 1st team All-MIAC (Michigan Independent Athletic Conference) honors. With an average of 24.9 points a game, she was Washtenaw County’s leading scorer, finishing an impressive 149 points ahead of the runner-up.

An eight-time varsity letter winner, Oestreich has committed to play volleyball next year at Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.

She is the daughter of Steve and Carrie Oestreich of Brighton.
