[two_third last=”yes”]For their senior retreat, the Class of 2012 took a trip Sept. 22-23 to Camp Ronora, a rustic nature preserve in Southwestern Michigan. The retreat was a great time for students to bond and collect themselves in preparation for their senior year, as well as reflect on their new position as the leaders of the school. Bridling and corralling a horse without talking, creating skits detailing the history of the grade, and student council elections all served as excellent leadership exercises. The grade enjoyed a substantial amount of free time that resulted in the discovery of a small lake and spontaneous groups of students dancing their hearts out on weathered tennis courts.
“As a class we were connected before, but on the retreat we created bonds that will last beyond graduation,” says Chris Owyang, class president.
