Robyn Khouri wins 2013 Nancy’s Basket Award
Before the live auction portion of Saturday’s A Night for Greenhills got underway, head of school Carl Pelofsky presented Robyn Khouri with the 2013 Nancy’s Basket Award for her outstanding service to the school.
Currently serving her second year as leader of Greenhills Parent Organization (GPO), Khouri has put in many years as a grade-level representative and athletic volunteer. Last spring Khouri served on the head of school search committee. Khouri and her husband Nick are parents to Alec, Greenhills Class of 2011 and Andrew, a senior.
A person who nominated Robyn for the award commented, “Robyn is amazing! She has put tons of time and energy into this place. She volunteers for everything that requires volunteers…she leads by example. She donates her time and energy willingly. She cares deeply about Greenhills and its continued excellence.”
“It has been a pleasure being involved as a member of the Greenhills community,” reflects Khouri. “Our students benefit so much because of the wonderful partnership between Greenhills parents and the tremendous faculty and staff.”
Each year the Nancy’s Basket Award (named for Nancy Judge, one of Greenhills’ founders) is presented to the person or persons who make the greatest contribution to the continued excellence of Greenhills School; it is one way in which the board of trustees, faculty and staff can show appreciation for the extraordinary support the award recipients have given.
