Kasey Gardiner ’12 Signs Letter of Intent with D1 Wake Forest

After considering a number of scholarship offers, on Monday Greenhills tennis standout Kasey Gardiner ’12 signed an NCAA Division 1 National Letter of Intent with Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Kasey currently boasts a top 30 national ranking in girls 18.  She won the Western Sectional Championships last summer and is currently ranked #1 in the Western sectional rankings.  She was also the National Open Singles finalist and the National Open Doubles champion.

Her freshman year Kasey was the undefeated champion at 1 singles in Division 4, delivering the pivotal match at the State Tournament which ensured Greenhills’ first ever women’s state championship.

To date Kasey has never been defeated in high school play; in fact, she has never even lost a set in high school tennis.

“I am thrilled to see Kasey take her game to the next level,” says Greenhills girls’ tennis coach Mark Randolph.  “There’s no doubt in my mind that she has all of the tools and the talent necessary to succeed in D1–both as a dedicated student and a supremely talented athlete.  Even before the start of her senior season Kasey has already assembled a powerful legacy, one which is still growing.
