Greenhills Receives Grant to Reduce Energy Use

Energy Works Michigan, a nonprofit affiliate of the Ecology Center, has awarded Greenhills a $5,000 grant for its efforts to improve energy efficiency in the school building. Greenhills’ plan includes the use of occupancy sensors to control HVAC air flow, a boiler tune-up and an infrared scan of the building to detect problem areas.

Greenhills Receives Grant to Reduce Energy Use

Emile Lauzzana, Energy Works Director, says, “This is a great opportunity to help our schools when they need it most.  Investing in energy efficiency improvements saves energy and improves the comfort and quality of learning spaces for students, teachers and staff, while reducing the carbon footprint of the facility.”
