GH Hosts 300 for 14th Annual T.Wall B-ball
Approximately 300 young people visited Greenhills on November 16 for a day of activities, including basketball, carnival games, face-painting, a petting zoo, cake walk, and a pizza lunch. Attending from schools throughout Washtenaw County, the visitors were paired with Greenhills student buddies, who served as their hosts.
“T.Wall is important to me because it’s a day where there are no judgments passed whatsoever,” says senior Dontinai Edmondson. “Everyone is free to just be themselves and have a good time. It’s a day of togetherness, and that’s important at Greenhills.”
“The annual T.Wall B-ball event is a wonderful opportunity for Greenhills students to find meaning in their own lives by focusing on others,” adds service learning coordinator Alyssa Friendly. “The hallways are filled with smiles and joy – and that is a great school day for anyone!”
