Friedlander Outdoor Forum nearly finished
Construction of the Friedlander Outdoor Forum is nearly complete, with workers concentrating this week on finishing touches like affixing rails to the wooden deck, pouring a sidewalk, and getting started on landscaping.
Once work on the forum is finished, the dramatic learning and performance space built into a hillside on the north end of the campus will become an outdoor learning space for all disciplines. Signage identifying various natural features on the site will be installed later this year.

The forum’s location near the campus’ ponds, streams, and woods is ideal for learning about the natural world. But the space will also be available for numerous other activities, including rehearsals, performances, discussions, quiet thinking, and community-building. And of course there’s no better way to bring the natural environment home to future generations of Greenhills students than effectively making that environment a part of the school.
The Friedlander Outdoor Forum honors the more than 75 combined years dedicated to the Greenhills community by retired science teachers Martha and Tom Friedlander. Its construction was made possible by the generous gifts of nearly 300 donors.
