Friday’s Chocolate Lounge to Feature Raffle for Justin Bieber Guitar
The 2012 Chocolate Lounge Improv & Jazz Band Show is set to open Friday, March 2 (7-9 p.m. in the Greenhills dining room) with performances by the jazz band and improv group, a raffle for a signed Justin Bieber guitar, and — of course — lots and lots of chocolate.
“We’re so excited about this year’s show,” says organizer Anya Parampil ’13. “We have awesome food — including a chocolate fountain and great donations from local vendors like Schakolad and Main Street Ventures.”
“It’s a true community event,” adds organizer John Lazarsfeld ’13, “and for a great cause, too.”
The Chocolate Lounge Improv & Jazz Band Show is an annual event run by the junior class as a way to raise funds for two Greenhills endowments that support student events and activities. This year, all proceeds will go toward the Krystal Heitman Memorial Endowment. (Krystal Heitman was a Greenhills mom (junior Derek ’13 and alum Ashley ’09) and beloved member of the staff who died in 2006 after a long battle with cancer.)
Tickets for Chocolate Lounge may be purchased in the Main Office or from any junior for $5, or at the door for $8. Each ticket is good for 1 chocolate treat, 1 beverage, and a dip in the chocolate fountain.
In addition to Parampil and Lazarsfeld, Anna Schwartz ’13 and Derek Heitman ’13 are this year’s event organizers.
