Chess team bests Huron, looks strong for future

A very strong Greenhills School chess club with players from both the Middle School and the Upper School soundly beat Huron’s chess club Friday afternon in a match hosted by Greenhills.
Greenhills had seven wins, two draws, and no losses in the match.
“It was a very strong performance from all nine boards,” said chess coach and Greenhills science teacher James Lupton. “This is a huge turnaround from last year and bodes well for coming events.”
Some of those events include matches scheduled for November and the state team tournament coming up in March.
