Anatomy Students Have Fun “Sea-ing” Urchin Fertilization

There was much oohing and ahhing and “oh, wowing” today as students in Dee Lamphear’s D-period Anatomy-Physiologyclass observed the fertilization process of East coast sea urchins.
“Surprisingly, urchins have eggs and sperm similar in size to humans,” says Lamphear. “So it’s a great way for students to learn about the reproductive process.”
