Alumni Mothers Enjoy Annual Luncheon
More than 100 alumni mothers gathered at Barton Hills Country Club on Saturday for the annual Alumni Mothers’ Luncheon.
“The alumni mothers’ luncheon has become a favorite Greenhills event for many,” says alumni director Teresa Jong ’82. “This year, the 12th anniversary of the luncheon, we had a record number of guests, many of whom commented on how much they enjoyed reconnecting with one another and meeting new head of school Carl Pelofsky.”
Highlights of the event included a serenade by a Greenhills string quartet (John Lazarsfeld ’13, violin; David Groden ’15, violin; Noah Aaron ’14, cello; and Juliano Stewart ’14, cello) and an alumni address by Sandy (Postell) Stojkovski ’91, who spoke about the importance of discovering one’s innate gifts and actively working to make the most of them. The president of Scenaria, Inc., a local automotive strategic planning consulting company, Stojkovski recently received a 40 under 40 award from Crain’s Detroit Business.
“The alumni moms really enjoyed hearing from Sandy how her experience at Greenhills has impacted her professional success,” adds Jong.
