Tryouts for the Middle School Competitive MATHCOUNTS team will be held in Ms. Kemmerle’s room (2004) on Friday, October 18 at 3:30pm. Students should bring a pencil and a calculator to the tryout. Twelve students will be selected to be on the team, and the team will compete in the MATHCOUNTS Chapter Competition in early February, likely in the State competition later in the Spring, and hopefully, Nationals after that. Being on the team would require occasional after-school and Sunday morning practices. Students who try out and do not make the MATHCOUNTS team will still be eligible to compete in the Math League competition as well as the Math Madness competition.
