Teachers are learners at AIMS Conference
The recent Association of Independent Michigan Schools conference at Detroit Country Day School was an opportunity for Greenhills teachers to learn from their peers from around the state – and for their peers from around the state to learn from them.
The theme of this year’s conference, held Oct. 7, was “Connections: Communities Learning Together.” Greenhills faculty presenters included:
- Ruth Miller: “Independence and Conditional Probability: Why is this Stuff So Hard to Teach?”
- Meg Seng: “Developing Student Leadership Programs at Your School”
- Emily Wilson-Tobin, Gary Lehman, and Laura Bird: “Student Driven Theatre: Fostering and Supporting Student Leadership in a High School Theatre Program”
In addition, current senior Gus Nordhielm, shared his experience as a student leader in the Greenhills theater program.
