The school day consists of four 75-minute class periods, as well as time for advisories, assemblies, and/or grade meetings, lunch, and a 30-minute conference and collaboration period each day. This schedule is optimized to include:
- Longer class periods that enable creative and critical thinking, collaboration, and varied instruction practices
- Courses that meet every other day, for a less frenetic pace and less homework
- A later start to the day that allows students to get more sleep
- Daily communal learning opportunities
- An 8-day rotation that allows students to learn subjects at different times of the day
