MLK Day talk: The Power of Diversity in a Complex World
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. first convinced the country that the equality of all people before the law was the right thing. Then King and forward-thinking lawmakers began the process of making that equality the legal thing. Scott E. Page, a Greenhills dad and a professor of complex systems, political science, and economics at the University of Michigan, visited Greenhills for a special assembly in King’s honor — organized by the middle school’s Diversity in Action group — and explained why it’s also the smart thing.
