School year begins at Greenhills: Our 50th!

They streamed into the building Tuesday morning, students and teachers ready and eager to get started on the 2017-18 school year at Greenhills. The weather could have been more cheerful, but faculty and students more than made up for that, with everyone looking forward to starting a new year. Faculty and staff greeted the new arrivals, and students had a chance to get comfortable early.

David McDowell, a veteran Greenhills teacher and administrator now serving as interim head of school, greeted the students at an all-school assembly, introducing new faculty members and describing the new roles several administrators and faculty will be filling this year.

Then it was off to grade level meetings and the beginning of another academic year, Greenhills’ 50th, for students and faculty alike. The year promises to be as rich in learning and experience as any that has come before.
