Greenhills School seniors Hannah Lee and Eleana Zhuang have been named 2025 MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award winners. They are two of only 32 athletes in Michigan to receive this distinction, which includes a $2,000 scholarship for each. This is the second consecutive year that two students from Greenhills have earned this honor.
The boys swim and dive team is off to a great start in what could be one of the best seasons in recent memory. Talented new additions to the roster, positive attitudes, and strong work ethic propelled the team to victory in its first three dual meets, and times continue to improve for swimmers across the board.
After nine seniors graduated from the boys varsity basketball team last year, this season’s team is focused on gaining court experience, advancing ball skills, and persevering in a competitive league. Head Coach Jason Pickett is in his first year leading the team at Greenhills, and he’s excited about the strong foundation they’ve been building so far.
The Alumni Office recently caught up with Dr. Ritu Sahni ’85, who will be celebrating his 40th reunion this June. Based in the Pacific Northwest, Sahni shares how he met his wife on the first day at the University of Michigan, fits in co-hosting an EMS podcast, and still follows Greenhills soccer.
The girls basketball team finished the 2023-24 season feeling like the best was yet to come. The Gryphons had bested the previous year’s record, and they saw the improvement that came from an offseason spent training and conditioning. Now, with much of the 2024-25 season still left to play, the girls basketball team has once again improved on their season record and is feeling optimistic about the future.
